WDI supports the semiconductor device manufacturing industry by supplying technology to both end device manufacturers and to those companies who build tools and equipment for these organizations. Our industry leading autofocus sensors and modular microscopy automation components can be found in many inspection, metrology and defect review & classification tools. Our IR confocal imaging systems and OEM components are found in FA analysis laboratories as well as specialized tools such as wafer and die bonders.
Flat Panel Display
WDI remains the world leader in the supply of microscopy autofocus technology for optical inspection instrumentation used in the manufacture of flat panel displays including, LCD, LED, OLED and MicroLED. Our autofocus sensors and modular microscopy automation components are used in tools at many stages in the manufacturing process and can be found in every major FPD factory in the world. As a core focus, WDI continually collaborates with manufacturers to innovate and improve our technology to meet the evolving needs of this industry.
DNA/Genomics
WDI supplies both autofocus technology and modular microscopy automation components to many DNA & Genomics system equipment manufacturers. Our technology provides the required accuracy, reliability and speed that sequencing, and genomics instrumentation need in order to be commercially viable. WDI also works closely with our partners to customize both hardware and software to meet the specific needs of each application and customer.
High Content Screening/ Targeted Diagnostics
WDI autofocus technology and modular microscopy components and complete functional systems can be found in many of the worlds High Content Screening Systems. Our world leading autofocus sensors permit these instruments to collect data at the desired speeds, using high resolution, high NA objectives while minimizing any errors. WDI also supplies technology to the manufactures of systems for many biomedical applications such as Sepsis diagnostics and Malaria detection.
Electronics and Other Metrology
A wide array of inspection tools integrate WDI’s technology both as a primary imaging modality and as secondary or supporting imaging technology. Our autofocus sensors and modular microscopy components are used in defect detection and review, metrology and quality control systems in many manufacturing environments including PCB, Solar Panel, Glass and Thin Film.
